Job summary

Christy Sports in Vail, CO is seeking a Repair Technician who loves ski and snowboard gear to tune, sharpen and repair equipment. You will work closely with guests to ensure top performance while maintaining shop safety and accurate pricing.

The role offers hands-on training, mentorship from experienced technicians, and a collaborative team culture in a fast-paced outdoor retail environment.

Qualifications

• Strong skiing or snowboarding background and a love for the sport.
• Motivated, able to multitask and stay detail oriented.
• Comfortable using POS systems and handling transactions.
• Clear, written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs.

Responsibilities

As a Repair Technician youll make sure our guests are set up with perfectly tuned equipment so they can enjoy the mountain to the fullest From sharpening edges and waxing skis to handling complex repairs youll use your technical skills product knowledge and passion for snow sports to deliver best in class service and keep our guests coming back

What Youll Be Doing

Besides Planning Your Next Powder Day

• Build trust with guests by providing accurate information and excellent service


• Assess when skis or snowboards need tuning or repair and recommend the best service option


• Perform ski and snowboard tuning sharpening waxing mounting drilling and more


• Maintain accurate pricing and ensure promotions are up to date


• Keep the workshop clean organized and operating safely


• Follow all Christy Sports safety standards and procedures in the repair shop


• Monitor inventory and stay on top of industry trends and technology


• Support teammates and pitch in with other duties as needed

What Makes You a Fit

• Strong ski or snowboard background and a love for the sport


• Self motivated able to multitask and detail oriented


• Comfortable with POS systems preferred


• Excellent communication skills written and verbal


• Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs
