Job Summary: Edge, a division of NEFCO Construction Supply, is a business-to-business supply distribution company that sells products primarily to commercial contractors, industrial businesses, municipalities, and government entities. Additionally, we have a rental department, repair center, customer training, and other professionally customizable services. We have developed a loyal clientele base. Edge is over 65 years old, privately held, and spans 5 states with 9 locations, headquartered in Spokane, Washington. We sell over 30,000 products from over 200 manufacturers, including: power tools, hand tools, safety equipment, abrasives, fasteners, hangers, strut, ladders and a variety of trade specific tools, equipment, & material handling products.

Job Description:

  • Maintain excellent customer service through efficient and timely estimates and paperwork procedures for the repair department.
  • Prepare repair estimates for customers and service personnel.
  • Communicate with customers over service counter, email, and phone correspondence to ascertain product issues and get information on how to proceed.
  • Communicate with rental department to ascertain repair needs for internal company assets.
  • Maintain relationship with vendors to purchase parts for repairs and make profitable and timely purchasing decisions.
  • Organize parts inventory for easy access and to reduce lead times for common repairs.
  • File, maintain, and obtain invoice reports for customers.
  • Shelve and organize finished products. Ensure proper return to customers.
  • Obtain transfer needs from branches.
  • Obtain and utilize warranty information to make repair recommendations.
  • Update and reference service manual for parts and prices.
  • Resolve any issues or discrepancies within repair department.

Requirements

Desired Experience & Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Communicate with customers and co-workers in courteous and professional manner
  • Attention to detail is required and ability to perform basic math calculations are required.
  • Familiarity with construction industry, products, methods, and market pricing is a plus.
  • Ability to work productively without supervision.
  • Ability to exert 75 pounds of force occasionally
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook and other distribution software tools.
