Job summary

RTX in Texas is seeking an experienced Materials/Logistics Specialist to coordinate program requirements and ensure timely delivery of government-owned material. You will track status, manage material availability, and push for solutions to keep operations on schedule.

The role requires a university degree or equivalent with 3–5+ years of experience, strong MRP knowledge, and excellent communication. Proficiency with SAP and Microsoft Office is preferred; U.S.

Qualifications

  • This includes a university degree or equivalent experience with relevant background.
  • Experience using MRP processes and/or software.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and environment.
  • Ability to apply critical thinking and logical reasoning.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required for data access.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluating and coordinating program requirements to ensure a controlled flow of materials and services.
  • Providing status of work in progress, materials availability, and potential problems to support operations.
  • Preparing service orders for incoming Government owned material.
  • Determining proper path for execution of Government owned material (RTV/Scrap/reinduction).
  • Coordinating cross-functional interdepartmental activity with QA, manufacturing, engineering, programs, logistics.
  • Working with program support to resolve material shortages impacting repairs/upgrades/retrofits.
  • Taking corrective action on unfavorable trends.
  • Conducting quarterly physical inventory cycle counts and reconciliations.
  • Moving material to/from factory (clean room), pack/ship as needed.
  • Owning metrics to maintain system health and meet customer expectations.
