Job summary

Weatherford is seeking an experienced Repair & Maintenance (R&M) Manager in Houston to lead safety, quality, operations and financial performance for the R&M facility. You will oversee workshop activities, production planning, inventory management, and continuous improvement to ensure on-time delivery and adherence to Weatherford standards.

You will mentor R&M staff, manage budgets, coordinate with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, HR and Finance, and drive Lean initiatives to reduce costs

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years in repair & maintenance, manufacturing, or operations.
• 5+ years in leadership or supervisory roles.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing/Continuous Improvement methodologies.
• Knowledge of maintenance systems, production scheduling, inventory management, and budgeting.
• Strong leadership, communication, project management, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily R&M workshop operations, ensuring high standards of safety, quality, and compliance.
• Manage facility performance metrics, including productivity, cost, capacity, quality, and on-time delivery.
• Drive Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce costs.

• Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, HR, and Finance to meet business objectives.

Skills/Education Preferred

• Oil & gas industry experience.


• Experience managing multi-product manufacturing or service facilities.


• Engineering, Supply Chain, or related degree.


• Lean Six Sigma, APICS, or PMP certification.


• Experience with ERP systems such as JD Edwards or Oracle OTM.

Travel Required

• This role may require domestic and potentially international travel of up to 30%.
