Job summary

ITT Inc. in Houston, TX is seeking a Repair Engineering Intern for Summer 2027. You will assist in preparing repair quotes, review engineering drawings, and support production and shop teams.

This is a full-time, 12- to 15-week internship with hands-on engineering exposure in a multi-segment global company. During the internship you will work with engineers and technicians, track jobs, and engage with subcontractors to ensure timely delivery and quality checks.

Qualifications

• Senior undergraduate student in mechanical, industrial, general, or nuclear engineering.
• Basic understanding of mechanical systems (pumps/rotating equipment is a plus).
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics.
• Familiarity with CAD tools (AutoCAD) is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing repair quotes by gathering technical and cost information under guidance.
• Support the creation and review of basic engineering drawings for parts and repairs.
• Help track ongoing jobs and ensure timelines are met (parts, subcontracting, shipments).
• Participate in job intake and data entry for incoming repair work.
• Work with engineers and technicians to provide production and shop support.
• Assist in coordinating with subcontractors, including follow-ups, tracking deliveries, and quality checks.
• Support customer follow-ups and communication alongside the sales and engineering team.
• Help identify repair improvements or upgrade opportunities for customers.
