Drive continuous improvement by finding successful approaches to challenging weld repairs and implementing those as regular shop practices.
Use root-cause analysis protocols to resolve department errors and operational issues.
2. Repair Development:
Collaborate with weld technicians, weld shop leadership, and weld process engineers to design improved weld procedures and/or specific weld procedures for custom welding applications.
Control process parameters to maximize production repeatability and quality control accuracy.
Generate technical work instructions and comprehensive process documentation for complex weld repairs, including operation sheets and setup guides.
3. Analyze Results
Collaborate with production leadership, operators and technicians on the initial weld plan, and monitor the results of those repair plans as they travel through the shop.
Provide technical support and guidance as needed to aid in successful repair.
Diagnose repair defects to determine root cause and implement effective corrective actions.
