The Repair Center Supervisor supervises the daily operations of Blackmer’s East Coast Repair Center (ECRC) in Norfolk, Virginia. Supervisory responsibility: ECRC Repair Technicians.

What You’ll Do

  • Manages site-specific quality assurance, administration for all documents, personnel records, procedures, and all purchasing for tools, equipment repair, replacement, and building upkeep.
  • Handles and supervises shipping and receiving.
  • Create invoices for all repairs performed out of ECRC, including in Wide Area Workflow (WAWF)
  • Maintain the Government CAV Commercial Asset Visibility system, including tracking all GFM Government Furnished Material, logging and tracking the status of assets, and directing shipping for all NAVSUP assets.
  • Oversee the Oracle tasks; MAS Data entry, Create BOM’S, Routings, Discreet jobs, and Sales order quotes.
  • Inventory control for all Blackmer stock is maintained at ECRC.
  • Provide scheduling and documentation for ongoing Navy projects.
  • Maintain the scheduling of all repairs coming out of the shop
  • Maintain calibration of measurement equipment according to established procedures.
  • Provide parts and create repair quotes to customers following established Blackmer’s ECRC Military/Marine methods.
  • Submit monthly reports on all shop activities (shipment totals, inventory numbers, items/contracts received, shipment goals for the following month)
  • Provide shipment plans and updates to the DCMA when requested.
  • Coordinate with DCMA QAR to perform final inspections before shipments.

What You’ll Bring

  • High School Diploma plus two (2) years of college or military school equivalent, and at least seven (7) years of military experience working in engineering departments.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, including Federal Government documentation.
  • Fluent in English with the ability to write reports, business correspondence, and customer quotes.
  • Capability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Capable of calculating figures and amounts such as marginal income, shipping charges, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Aptitude to solve practical problems and deal with various concrete variables in situations with limited standardization.
  • Skill to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Wide Area Workflow (WAWF)
  • Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Must be a United States Citizen (Green Card or Working Visa not acceptable).
