Job summary

Best Buy in Charlotte, North Carolina is hiring for a Part-time Seasonal Individual Contributor role. The position focuses on delivering a positive customer experience, diagnosing and repairing consumer electronics and appliances, and providing quotes for repair work.

The role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, stand or sit for long periods, and lift up to 50 pounds. Prior repair experience is preferred, along with relevant certifications.

Qualifications

• 6 months of experience diagnosing and repairing consumer electronics and/or appliances.
• Ability to diagnose and repair consumer electronics and/or appliances.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Drives a positive customer experience by building relationships and providing solutions to their needs.
• Diagnoses, orders, and makes installations for product repairs.
• Contacts customers with quotes for repairs and answers questions regarding cost, product installation, and operation.
• Completes routine functionality and quality testing on all products.
• Partners with colleagues and leaders to manage work-in-process (WIP) repairs.

Basic Qualifications

• Able to stand and sit for long periods of time
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Able to work in a non-climate-controlled environment
• Able to lift weight up to 50 pounds with or without accommodation
• 6 months of experience diagnosing and repairing consumer electronics and/or appliances

Preferred Qualifications

• Consumer Electronics and/or Appliance Manufacture Repair Certification
• Sealed System Certification applicable to appliances
• 6 months of experience using Best Buy's Star and Smart Parts system or other Parts Inventory System
