Job summary

Federal Signal Corporation is seeking a Rentals Coordinator for our Jetstream operation in Leeds, AL. This on-site role supports daily rental center activities, processes contracts, and builds customer relationships to drive repeat business.

You will coordinate equipment, assist with inventory, and work with service to ready rentals and demos. Proficiency in MS Office and JD Edwards is expected; travel is 15% with occasional after-hours calls.

Qualifications

• 1-year customer service in a heavy equipment/machinery environment.
• 1-year of sales experience in an equipment or parts environment.
• Ability to tow non-commercial trailer mounted equipment behind a ¾ or 1-ton truck.
• Ability to safely operate a forklift to load equipment on trucks.
• Hands-on mechanical aptitude.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook and JDEdwards (Oracle based).
• Strong communication and detail orientation under tight timelines.

Responsibilities

• Help facilitate planning and execute the daily operations and sales of the rental center.

• Be able to articulate product benefits to prospects over phone or in person.
• Learn the competition to enhance rental center delivery.
• Travel up to 15% and be willing to answer calls outside working hours.

Key Activities/Responsibilities

• Help facilitate planning and execute the daily operations and sales of the rental center

• Must be willing and able to answer calls on company provided cell phone outside of working hours.
• Must be willing and able to travel 15%

Requirements

• Possess the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with initiative and drive under tight timescales and pressure, all while maintaining attention to detail and quality
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Valid driver’s license
