The Rental Technician is responsible for preparing, inspecting, adjusting, and maintaining ski and snowboard rental equipment to ensure every guest receives properly fitted, safe, and high-quality gear. This position plays a critical role in delivering an exceptional guest experience by combining technical expertise with outstanding customer service. Rental Technicians are responsible for accurately fitting equipment based on each guest's height, weight, age, ability level, boot size, and skier type while following industry safety standards and manufacturer specifications. Technicians will obtain and maintain Rossignol Ski Binding Certification and demonstrate proficiency in binding adjustment, equipment inspection, troubleshooting, and maintenance. This position requires energetic, dependable, and team-oriented individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment. Team members work collaboratively to meet daily service standards while providing knowledgeable equipment recommendations and assisting guests throughout the rental process. Rental Technicians are expected to become experts in ski and snowboard equipment, rental products, and current technologies to help guests select the equipment best suited to their needs. This position requires us to work evenings, weekends and holidays. Able to lift, carry, or otherwise move and position a minimum of 40 pounds on an occasional basis. Manual dexterity to operate a computer and other common office equipment on a constant basis. Shoveling snow and keeping the sundeck clear of snow and ice Some basic mechanical and cash handling experience is desired Ability to work for extended periods of time standing, bending, reaching, and speaking Positive attitude with strong guest services and communication skills a must Abides by all Crystal Mountain employment guidelines To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
