Job summary

Sturtevant's is seeking a Rental Technician to gear up guests for their ski or snowboard day, delivering top-tier service with enthusiasm. You will fit boots, skis, snowboards, and poles, while sharing mountain knowledge to help guests choose the right equipment.

In addition to a base pay of $18–$20/hour plus commission, the role includes a free employee ski pass, substantial discounts, and opportunities for ongoing training and growth within a dynamic outdoor retail team.

Qualifications

• Outgoing, friendly; can talk ski or board shop all day.
• Loves skiing or snowboarding (or eager to learn).
• Flexible schedule—holidays, weekends, split shifts.
• Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
• Basic computer skills for processing transactions and documentation.
• Strong English fluency (written and verbal).

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests with energy and enthusiasm, creating a fun shop experience.
• Fit boots, skis, snowboards, and poles to customers.
• Pass binding certification tests to become a certified safety expert.
• Share knowledge of gear and mountain culture to guide equipment choices.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and provide technical solutions.

Summary Description:
As a Rental Technician you’ll be the expert who gets guests geared up, comfortable, and confident before they hit the slopes. You’ll bring your passion for skiing or snowboarding, your love of helping people, and your knowledge of the sport to deliver the best-in-class guest service on which we pride ourselves.

What You'll Be Doing (Besides Planning Your Next Run):
