Job summary

Warren CAT in Amarillo, TX, is seeking a Rental Field Technician I to provide high-quality repair service on equipment while responding to customer needs in a positive, timely manner. You will complete tasks, paperwork, and parts orders, with the ability to mentor team members and obtain required licenses.

The role requires a GED or better, a valid driver’s license, CDL preferred, and flexibility for shift work and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned jobs to meet flat rate times and re-do metrics
• Process paperwork and access required databases (work orders, orders, JSA, DBS, SIMS, SIS web, STW) accurately
• Remove/install parts, disassemble/assemble components, test and adjust assemblies with minimal supervision
• Provide accurate information to management for quoting
• Diagnose and troubleshoot problems, recommend repairs and perform critical Rental/engine repairs
• Test and verify correct operation after repairs and adjustments
• Apply general failure analysis to determine proper diagnosis

What You'll Do

• Complete assigned jobs and task to meet flat rate times and re-do metric.
• Complete related paperwork and access databases required to complete job (work order, parts order, JSA, DBS, SIMS, SIS web, STW) accurately and timely.
• Remove and install parts, disassemble and assemble components, and test and adjust assemblies with minimal supervision.
• This position requires the ability to provide accurate information to management for quoting.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot problems, give recommendations for repairs and make all critical Rental and engine repairs and adjustments.
• Test and verify correct operation of all repairs and adjustments.
• Apply general failure analysis and procedures to determine proper diagnosis.

What You'll Need

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or suggest one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• CDL preferred.
• Ability to complete and/or obtain any required licenses, certifications and/or registrations.
• Able to mentor Rental team members.
• Must be able to obtain or currently possess adequate tooling to perform duties.
• Knowledge of Database software; Internet software; Manufacturing software and Order processing systems.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Must be 21 or older.
• Flexibility to work various schedules including shift work, required overtime and on call.
• Successfully complete Work Steps assessment.
