Job summary

Midwestern Wheels, Inc. is seeking a Rental Lot Operations Associate at the Madison Airport to support our outdoor rental operation. You’ll help keep vehicles clean, organized, and ready for customers while coordinating movement across the lot.

This on-site role includes updating inventory on a handheld device, greeting customers, handling check-in/out, inspections, and detailing as needed. Weekend shifts may be required in a fast-paced team focused on service and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with good driving record
• Ability to communicate clearly with customers and coworkers

Responsibilities

Do you enjoy working outdoors, staying active, and helping customers have a smooth, positive experience? Join our team at the Madison Airport and play a key role in keeping our rental operation running efficiently!

As a Rental Lot Operations Associate, you’ll work outdoors across our airport rental lots to ensure vehicles are clean, organized, and ready for customers. You’ll use a handheld mobile device to update vehicle status, assist customers during pickup and return, and help coordinate vehicle movement to support a fast-paced operation.

Responsibilities:

• Vehicle Inventory — Track and record vehicle status using a mobile handheld device.
• Customer Support — Greet customers, answer questions, and provide friendly, professional service.
• Vehicle Check-In/Out — Record mileage, fuel levels, and vehicle condition; enter information into our system accurately.
• Vehicle Inspection- Review vehicles for body damage, mileage, and fuel level
• Lot Organization — Ensure vehicles are clean, available, and positioned correctly for rental.
• Vehicle Movement — Drive and reposition a variety of vehicles as needed.
• Detailing Vehicles - Assist with detailing vehicles as needed.

What We’re Looking For:

• Comfortable using mobile devices; basic computer/data-entry skills
• Enjoy working outdoors and staying physically active
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends
• Ability to stand, walk, and move around the lot for extended periods
• Ability to enter/exit and drive multiple vehicle types
• Must be 18+, legally authorized to work in the U.S., and hold a valid driver’s license
• On-site role only (not remote)

Compensation & Benefits:

• $18-20 per hour, with weekend hours paid at an additional shift differential of $2 per hour.
