Job summary

Cleveland Brothers Equipment Co. is seeking a Rental Field Technician to join our team in the York, PA area. You will operate, repair, and maintain earthmoving equipment in the field, diagnose faults, and rebuild components as needed.

The role requires a technical school background or military experience, proficiency with laptop-based diagnostics (SIS/ET), and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Overtime may be required as part of a dynamic service schedule.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a technical school, military school, or relevant working experience.
• Ability to diagnose, repair, rebuild, and maintain equipment in a field environment.
• Proficiency with a laptop for diagnostics (SIS and ET).
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds and meet DOT/CBE requirements.
• Willing to work overtime when required.

Job description

Cleveland Brothers, the largest Cat® dealer in Pennsylvania, northern West Virginia and western Maryland, has an immediate opportunity for a Rental Field Technician.

Cleveland Brothers Equipment Co., Inc., your local Caterpillar dealership, is looking for a highly motivated self-starter to join our growing team of established and successful professionals.

Primary Responsibilities

• Operate, repair, rebuild, and maintain all types of earthmoving equipment.
• The ability to independently and accurately diagnose and repair/rebuild inoperative or malfunctioning equipment is essential.
• This individual will also provide air conditioning repair and service on an as needed basis.
  

Skills / Knowledge / Qualifications

• Independently and successfully maintain equipment, diagnose, repair, rebuild, and maintain equipment in a field environment
• Utilize a laptop computer for information and diagnostic purposes with a demonstrated proficiency in S.I.S. and E.T
• Safely assemble and disassemble components and equipment according to the manufacturer's specifications
• Accurately complete service reports and provide the details to complete work orders
• Work overtime as required
• Maintain tool requirements.

• Carrying, grasping, reaching, stooping, and crouching, listening, and speaking
• Must have good motor coordination skills

• Must meet DOT regulatory & CBE requirements for operating CBE or related vehicles
• Must sign all documentation to meet DOT regulations and CBE requirements
