Job summary

Pape’ Machinery, Inc. is seeking a Rental Equipment Field Technician in Hawaii to service rental construction and forestry equipment, perform diagnostics, and ensure equipment uptime. You will travel in a service vehicle, interact with customers, and deliver top-quality workmanship.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

As our Rental Technician, you will work on rental construction and forestry equipment in the shop ensuring equipment repairs are done accurately and timely, all in an effort to support our customers and maximize their uptime. Every day, you will check rental equipment in/out, fuel and clean equipment, monitor the yard to ensure members are following safety protocol, and analyze and diagnose equipment malfunctions or failures.

Every day, picture yourself traveling the area in a fully loaded Pape’ service vehicle, performing top-notch work on equipment, interacting with customers, and knowing that they can count on you to get the job done right.

WHAT YOU NEED:

• 1 or more years of experience in diagnosing and repairing all makes and models of new and used heavy equipment.
• A team-oriented personality, with the focus and drive to work without direct supervision.
• The discipline and skill to complete a technical diagnostic and repair training program.
• Must be able to pass a background check in order to apply for Defense Biometric Identification System (DBIDS).
• Must provide own tools.
• Type 4 driver’s license is preferred!

Compensation: $33-52/hr (Depending on Experience)
