Job summary

Pape’ Group in Sacramento, CA is seeking a Heavy Equipment Rental Field Technician / Mechanic to service and repair material handling and construction equipment in the field. You will travel in a fully equipped service vehicle and work closely with customers to keep rental equipment running smoothly.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of field diagnostics experience on aerial and construction machinery, with diesel and gas engine repair, hydraulic/electronic work, and a solid mechanical aptitude.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of field diagnosing and repairing aerial/construction equipment with knowledge of major brands.
• Diesel and gas engine repair; hydraulic and electronic work.
• Basic computer knowledge; strong mechanical aptitude.
• Excellent communication and customer relations; able to work with limited supervision.
• Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs and possess a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

As a Rental Field Technician, you will work on material handling and construction equipment in the field ensuring equipment repairs are done accurately and timely, all in an effort to maximize our equipment uptime and support our customers and their rental equipment needs Every day, picture yourself traveling the area in a fully loaded Pape’ service vehicle, performing top-notch work on equipment, interacting with customers, and knowing that they can count on you to get the job done right.

WHAT YOU NEED:

• 5 or more years of experience in field diagnosing and repairing aerial/construction equipment, with knowledge in JLG, Genie, Skyjack, and John Deere equipment; with a strong mechanical aptitude.
• Experience with electronic and hydraulic repairs; diesel and gas engine repair
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Self-motivation and assertiveness.
• Ability to work under little or no supervision.
• Excellent communication and customer relations skills.
• Must be able to push, pull and/or lift up to 75lbs.
• Driver's license with a good driving record.
• Must be comfortable working at heights.

Compensation: $34.48-45/hr (Depending on Experience)
