JOB SUMMARY:

This individual will be the primary contact for all customers, salesmen, and other company personnel for the CAT Rental Store. The Rental Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the rental sales/support services, communication, and information flow of the branch equipment rental fleet by determining customer rental needs and handling all corresponding rental reservations.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Three years of experience in customer service, preferred experience in the heavy equipment and/or equipment rental industry.
  • Must understand and be able to effectively explain the company’s LDW policy.
  • Must understand and be able to effectively communicate equipment applications and key performance specifications.
  • Understands usage and applications of all rental equipment and services offered.
  • Must have a thorough knowledge of “common” equipment failure problems and how to resolve them.
  • Must recognize the difference between similar products and the advantages/disadvantages of applications.
  • Must have working knowledge of construction phases to properly advise applications.

  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting; to stand or sit for prolonged periods; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight; to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard; and to verbally communicate to exchange information. Repetitive Motions Frequent movement requiring hands, wrists, and fingers. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet in office settings and moderate to loud in other situations, with both constant and sudden loud noises possible.
