About the role


The Renovations Work Order Manger (WOM) is responsible for overseeing work order management and compliance for the Renovations team. This role ensures accurate and complete data entry in Yardi, monitors work order performance and applies Work Gatekeeper Framework controls to prevent unauthorized actions. The WOM provides leadership, training, and oversight for assigned Customer Coordinator Liaison while working closely with Director Construction Accounting (DCA), Project Analyst (PA), Project Coordinators (PC), Project Managers (PM), and Superintendents to maintain operational excellence. This is a remote position.

What you'll be doing



  • Reviews daily open Renovation work orders across the team, ensuring compliance with Work Order Management Policy.

  • Enforce Work Gatekeeper Framework controls for work order creation, approval, cancellation, and corrections to ensure proper documentation and prevent unauthorized actions.

  • Audit work orders for accuracy in labor tracking, work order category, completion, notes, and uploading sign snap report from sub tier contractor.

  • Ensure all cancellations follow the required approval processes with clear justification.

  • Train Customer Liaison in Work Order Management Policy, Yardi data entry standards, and Work Gatekeeper Framework compliance.

  • Conduct training sessions and develop materials for new hires, system updates, and process improvements.

  • Conduct routine audits of completed work orders to ensure compliance with labor, scope of work, and documentation

  • Identify trends in non-compliance, report findings, and collaborate with DCA, PA, and PC.

  • Maintain data integrity for audit readiness and internal reviews.

  • Engage with DCA, and PA to address compliance gaps and enforce corrective measures.

  • Ensure all work order processes align with Work Order Management Policy and Work Gatekeeper Framework controls.

  • Monitor and report recurring compliance violations, unauthorized actions, or systemic work order issues to leadership for corrective measures.

  • Assist in process improvements, policy updates, and efficiency initiatives.


Typical Physical Demands: Work is performed in a temporary office and construction site environment. Exterior work may include working inclement weather conditions. Physical ability to climb permanent and temporary stairs, ladders, long periods of walking in a large multifamily community. Employee will occasionally be required to lift and or move up to 50 lbs.


Who we're looking for



  • High School diploma or GED



  • College Degree preferred

  • Minimum of six years of administration

  • Minimum of one management experience

  • Property management or Construction experience preferred

  • Experience in work order processing, compliance, or auditing is beneficial



  • Ability to travel up to 5%.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Teams.

  • Yardi system knowledge preferred.

  • Strong data entry and documentation skills with high attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities to collaborate across multiple levels.
