Job summary

VSF Rentals in Ohio is seeking a motivated and experienced property Renovation Technician with carpentry, light electrical and light plumbing experience to join our full-time team. You will perform unit turns, interior and exterior renovations, and other improvements to residential and commercial properties.

Expect travel up to 60 miles, a starting pay of $25.00–$35.00 per hour, 50+ hours per week, bi-weekly pay, and benefits including health, dental, vision, paid time off, and possible access

Qualifications

• High school diploma required and 2 years of trade-specific training or construction experience.
• Experience with unit turns, interior and exterior renovations, including kitchen/bath updates.
• Ability to climb ladders up to 20 ft and lift 80 lbs; valid driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform unit turns with repairs, painting, flooring, and finishes prior to tenant move-in.
• Complete exterior maintenance including window/door work and lighting upgrades.
• Travel up to 60 miles between jobs and operate a company vehicle when assigned.

Description of Company:VSF Rentals is a growth-focused real estate rental company located in Piqua, OH with a territory from Middletown to Wapak, OH. We operate residential, commercial, industrial properties and storage units in Auglaize, Shelby, Miami, Montgomery, Butler, and Greene Counties. Our team is looking for a motivated and experienced property Renovation Technician with carpentry, light electrical, and light plumbing experience to join us for full-time employment.

This is a fast-paced team with dynamic and ever-changing needs. You’ll be asked to perform all aspects of property renovations and improvement including:

• Unit Turns, Interiors:This is the single most important task in your day to day operation. Unit turns must be performed quickly and with quality. You’ll be completing all necessary repairs and upgrades to existing units prior to move in by new tenants. This can encompass trash out, painting, cleaning, cabinetry installation, counter top installations, and flooring installation, finish carpentry, light electrical, light plumbing and cosmetic installations (bathroom fixtures and blinds). Kitchen and Bath remodeling experience as well as finish carpentry skills are needed!
• Exterior maintenance:Window and door repair and replacement, gutter repair, lighting upgrades, and clean-out,.

You may be traveling as far as 60 miles in one direction between jobs in a company vehicle (from Piqua Ohio).

VSF will provide you with access to company truck/van (if you qualify for our insurance) and all tools. You should have experience in electrical, bathroom and kitchen installations, window and door installation, light drywall, and click-lock flooring. You should also be able to climb ladders as high as 20 feet and lift and carry at least 80 lbs.

You may be traveling as far as 60 miles in one direction between jobs in a company vehicle (from Piqua Ohio).

You must pass a background check, occupational health screening and have a clean driving record.

Education and Experience: High school diploma required, 2 years in a trade specific or on the job training in construction or 2 years minimum experience employed in a similar field.

VSF offers a competitive pay and paid vacation. You will report directly and work closely with the rest of the Team for all activities. 2+ years of experience is required in the construction trades, factory maintenance, or property maintenance positions. You’ll be interviewing with the owner of VSF Rentals.

Pay is dispersed bi-weekly based on total hours worked, starting wages will be determined by your experience. Your typical start time will be 8 am and you’ll work until at least 4:30 pm Monday-Friday with a 30-minute unpaid lunch. Occasional Saturdays will be mandatory depending on the workload and beyond 4:30pm when schedule dictates.
