Job summary

Enel North America is seeking a Specialist with 2–4 years of experience to perform electrical maintenance and troubleshooting across PV and Battery Energy Storage Systems. You will work with SCADA, CMMS records, and field crews to ensure optimal plant performance.

The role emphasizes safety leadership, technical independence, and collaboration with contractors and OEMs. Willingness to travel and support on-call rotations is required.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2+ years in renewable energy, industrial maintenance, or related technical field.
  • Experience with preventive, predictive, corrective maintenance and fault troubleshooting.
  • Preferred: PV O&M, BESS O&M, or similar power generation environments.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on AC/DC equipment and circuits.
  • Troubleshoot Solar PV modules, trackers, inverters, and plant performance issues.
  • Operate safely with LOTO, JSA, permits, and switching within qualifications.

* Group websites* Producing clean energy with renewable sources* Providing innovative solutions to improve people's lives* Accelerating the electrification of consumption through the development of e-mobility* Mitigating commodity trading risks at global scale* A global ecosystem that leverages Innovability(R) to power the future* We maximize value creation through our relationships with suppliers* Knowledge platform for a clean energy world* We support the initiatives undertaken by NPOs* Providing ways to report violation of our policiesSenioritySpecialist (2-4 years of experience)Preferred: Technical School education in electrical, electronics, instrumentation, industrial maintenance, renewable energy, or a related field.Work Experience* Typical Experience: 2+ years of relevant renewable energy, industrial maintenance, power generation, electrical, or related technical experience.* Required: Demonstrated competency to independently execute core preventive, predictive, corrective, and troubleshooting activities.* Preferred: Experience with industrial electrical systems, Solar PV O&M, BESS O&M, or comparable power-generation environments.* Advancement is based on demonstrated competency, acquired qualifications through provided company/OEM training, business need, performance that includes Operation Procedures, Work Instructions, Guidelines knowledge and Soft Skills acquisitions rather than tenure alone.- Required: Completion and maintenance of assigned site qualification QEW3 in 6 months of starting in position and authorization requirements.- Required: Valid driver's license and ability to meet company driving requirements.Main Technical Skills* Electrical Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Independently tests, diagnoses, maintains, and repairs routine to moderately complex AC/DC equipment and circuits.* Solar PV Systems: Independently maintains and troubleshoots PV modules, trackers, combiner equipment, inverters, and plant-performance issues.* Battery Energy Storage Systems: Independently performs routine maintenance and troubleshooting on batteries, Inverter/PCS equipment, HVAC, fire-protection interfaces, and auxiliaries where present.* Safety, LOTO & Switching: Independently applies JSA, permit-to-work, LOTO, electrical-safety, and authorized switching requirements within qualification limits.* SCADA, Controls & Digital Tools: Independently uses SCADA/HMI and monitoring systems, supports alarm investigation and routine controls verification, and maintains SAP/CMMS records.Main Soft Skills* Safety Leadership: Demonstrates and promotes safe work, identifies hazards, and intervenes when necessary.* Communication: Communicates technical and operational information clearly and accurately.* Problem Solving: Evaluates issues, applies structured analysis, and implements or escalates effective solutions.* Teamwork & Collaboration: Works effectively with technicians, contractors, OEMs, and cross-functional teams.Other Skills* Planning & Organization: Prioritizes work, prepares resources, and manages assigned activities effectively.* Digital Literacy: Uses Microsoft Office, mobile devices, SAP/CMMS, SCADA, and operational tools appropriate to the role.* Continuous Learning & Adaptability: Learns new technologies, procedures, and equipment and adapts to changing operational needs.- Ability and willingness to travel for training and/or site support as needed.Ability and willingness to participate in an assigned on-call rotation and work nights, weekends, holidays, overtime, and extended hours when operationally required. - Ability and willingness to respond to emergencies, abnormal conditions, equipment failures, and forced outages and support restoration within authorization limits.Ability to safely use hand and power tools and required personal protective equipment. - Ability to work outdoors in variable weather and around energized electrical and rotating equipment under approved safety controls.Enel North America offers its regular full-time employees affordable, quality healthcare for you and your family, life insurance and disability benefits to provide security, and retirement benefits to help you plan for your financial future.
