Position Summary

The Renewables/Ethanol Production Worker supports key areas of ethanol production, including cook, distillation, energy center, and DCS operations. Responsibilities also cover corn grinding, fermentation, evaporation, dryer, and boiler processes. The role involves monitoring production processes, adjusting equipment, sampling, lab testing, documentation, operating mobile equipment, and general housekeeping.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform processing functions in cook, distillation, energy center, and DCS areas of ethanol production.
• Assist with corn grinding, cook operations, yeast and fermentation quality control, distillation, evaporation, dryer, and boiler operations.
• Monitor production processes and adjust equipment settings or raw materials as directed to ensure optimal efficiency.
• Perform general product sampling, lab testing, document results, and report findings to crew leadership and/or laboratory personnel.
• Maintain documentation and record key production data as directed.
• Operate various types of mobile equipment.
• Perform general housekeeping tasks.

Physical Requirements and Working Environment

Work is performed in a 24×7 ethanol production facility. Production teams work 12‑hour shifts with two small crews scheduled per day, rotating day and night shifts. Shift assignment will be consistent and includes weekend and holiday work. Workers must be flexible to work either day or night shift based on business needs, with a night shift differential. The position involves exposure to adverse weather, dust, fumes, noise, and potentially hazardous materials. Workers must be willing and able to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required and lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
