Job summary

Kier + Wright in Austin, TX is seeking an Engineering Technician (Renewables) to produce engineering design plans for public works and land development using AutoCAD Civil 3D. You will work with an engineering design team from initial concepts to final plan production.

The role requires 0–2 years experience with AutoCAD/Civil 3D, on-site and off-site drafting, and strong CAD standards adherence; BlueBeam is a plus. Competitive pay and strong benefits accompany the role.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of experience drafting with AutoCAD/Civil 3D.
• Experience drafting on-site and off-site improvement drawings for land development projects.
• General computer skills including Microsoft Office and Adobe.
• Experience with BlueBeam is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Draft grading, drainage, utility, street frontage improvements, and stormwater plans in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Collaborate with the Project Lead and engineering team from concept to final plan production.
• Prepare drawings per company CAD standards and project-specific CAD specifications.
• Draft sketches, plans, and exhibits using CAD.
