Job summary

JCW Group seeks a Tax Principal to build and manage a book of tax credit buyers and drive transactions throughout the full lifecycle. You will work with senior leadership to originate tax credit opportunities and shape renewable finance strategies, partnering with product, finance, and experts to deliver results.

The role demands deep tax knowledge, an entrepreneurial mindset, and the ability to communicate complex topics clearly to diverse counterparties across a fast-growing platform.

Qualifications

• 8-12 years of relevant tax experience in the renewable energy industry.
• Experience in structured origination/distribution of tax credits or tax equity.
• Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
• Ability to discuss complex tax and financial topics.
• Entrepreneurial mindset and comfortable building in an early-stage environment.

Responsibilities

• Build and grow a network of corporate buyers, banks, and tax advisors
• Originate tax credit transactions and provide strategic advice on renewable finances
• Report to and work closely with senior leadership
• Educate counterparties on risk and serve as a trusted advisor
• Partner cross-functionally with product, finance, and subject matter experts
• Provide commercial strategy and inform on internal product development
