Job summary

System One, Inc. is seeking a Renewable Project Engineer to support wind farm capital projects in a hybrid, Minneapolis-based role. The contract spans 12 months with on-site visits to active facilities and construction sites.

You will lead project management activities, coordinate across 16 wind farms in multiple states, and manage schedules, budgets, and documentation. The ideal candidate has a mechanical or electrical engineering background, strong organizational and communication skills, and

• Bachelor's degree in engineering required or strongly preferred.
• ABET-accredited degree preferred.
• EIT, PMP, PE considered strong assets.

Job Title: Renewable Project Engineer

Location: Minneapolis, MN

Type: 12 month Contract

Compensation: $50.00 - $53.50 per hour

Work Model: Hybrid

Responsibilities

• Support wind farms as a capital engineer/project manager/project lead.
• Manage reliability and capital projects.
• Coordinate fleet initiatives across multiple wind farms.
• Financial management of projects.
• Scheduling, planning, contractor coordination, documentation, and project execution.
• Coordinate with operations managers and reliability engineers across 16 wind farms in Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Iowa.
• Manage both planned and emergent capital projects.
• Coordinate contractors, schedules, budgets, purchasing, project documentation, and project execution.
• Support project planning, financial tracking, and communication between field and office stakeholders.
• Occasional travel to wind farm sites.
• Work includes visits to active operating facilities and construction sites.

Requirements

• Project management experience.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Engineering background (Mechanical or Electrical preferred).
• Initiative and ability to work independently.
• Strong communication skills.
• Familiarity with project management and business systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering preferred)
• ABET-accredited degree preferred/expected pending final confirmation.
• PMP certification preferred
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) preferred
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
