Job summary

NextEra Energy Resources is seeking a professional to manage the PGD Environmental Management System and ensure regional environmental compliance across Solar and Energy Storage projects. The role includes overseeing water, wastewater, and vegetation with respect to permits and agency requirements.

Responsibilities span compliance management, contractor oversight, and staff training to sustain safety, reliability, and cost objectives while coordinating with state and federal agencies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or a related field.
• Knowledge of state and federal environmental regulations.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Experience: 2+ years in environmental roles.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the implementation and management of the Environmental Management System (EMS).
• Oversee site water, wastewater, and vegetation in compliance with environmental permits.
• Prepare and submit environmental reporting to agencies on time.
• Coordinate contractors and manage compliance-related maintenance and monitoring.
• Train operations staff on compliance requirements.
• Support internal and external environmental audits.
