Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Project Manager (Renewable Energy) to lead shadow flicker assessments for wind energy projects and provide environmental regulatory and permitting services. You will work with wind, solar, and energy storage teams to ensure projects meet environmental standards.

You will engage with clients, agencies, and communities, manage permitting processes at local to federal levels, and contribute to business development.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in wind energy environmental permitting or impact assessment.
• Experience with USACE, FERC, USFWS and DOTs on NEPA requirements.
• Proficiency in shadow flicker modeling and GIS software.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage shadow flicker assessments across multiple wind energy projects.
• Oversee modeling and analysis using WindPRO, ArcGIS, or similar software applications.
• Coordinate with clients’ engineering, siting, and permitting teams to optimize turbine layouts.
• Develop and implement mitigation strategies in collaboration with clients.
• Prepare and review technical documentation for shadow flicker impacts and permitting.
