Qualifications

• 3-5 years of relevant experience in renewable energy project finance or a major law firm/in-house
• Experience in renewable energy project finance, project development and project-related documentation
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
• Ability to adapt to a variety of duties and a fast-paced environment
• Smart, decisive, organized, methodical, biased toward action

Responsibilities

• Attend to all aspects and issues related to renewable project development and financing, with a focus on solar, solar plus storage, stand-alone storage and wind projects
• Act as internal counsel on tax equity, tax credit transfer and debt financings for such projects and corporate financings
• Structure, draft, review and negotiate financing transactions and project-related documents (e.g., PPA, EPC contracts)
• Manage and coordinate closings with AES team members and outside counsel
• Engage and manage outside counsel and provide strategic guidance to senior management
