Job summary

Cherry Bekaert Recruiting & Staffing Services is assisting a client, a growing renewable energy company, in hiring a Project Finance Analyst to support solar + storage projects nationwide. The role offers hands-on exposure to financial modeling, project execution, and renewable energy transactions within a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities include developing complex financial models, supporting financing processes, structuring partnerships, and leading due diligence through to closing.

Qualifications

• 1–3+ years of experience in project finance, investment banking, infrastructure, or renewable energy.
• Strong Excel and financial modeling skills.
• Experience supporting transactions, financings, or deals preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage complex financial models to maximize project value
• Support project financing processes, including investor coordination and capital funding execution
• Evaluate and structure financing partnerships, including tax equity and debt, with a focus on economic terms
• Assist in negotiating transaction terms with financing partners
• Lead due diligence efforts and manage the financing closing process with external stakeholders
• Analyze and assess M&A opportunities across various markets aligned with company strategy
• Provide financial planning and analysis support for the solar business unit
• Collaborate with the development team to evaluate early-stage project opportunities
