Renewable Careers Limited is expanding its New York team and seeks an entry-level engineer eager to contribute as a hands-on problem solver across the project lifecycle.

You will learn from seasoned engineers, supporting design and technical reviews for solar, wind and battery storage projects while developing practical skills in energy production estimates, site evaluations and due diligence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in a relevant engineering field.
• Demonstrated interest in renewable energy and the clean energy transition.
• Strong analytical ability and comfort with data/spreadsheets.
• Clear written and verbal communication; ability to translate technical topics.

Responsibilities

• Provide support across the project pipeline, learning from experienced engineers.
• Assist with engineering design and technical reviews for solar, wind and BESS projects.
• Prepare energy production estimates, site evaluations, and technical due diligence.
• Assist with interconnection applications and utilities/grid coordination.
• Review technical submittals from EPCs, consultants and vendors.
• Support construction and commissioning activities with travel to sites.
• Analyze fleet operating data to identify performance improvements.

About us

We are a clean energy company that develops, builds, owns and operates renewable projects across the United States. Our growing portfolio covers utility-scale solar, wind and battery energy storage (BESS), and as a long-term owner we stay with every project from the first feasibility study through years of operation. We are expanding our New York team and looking for an entry-level engineer who wants to build things that matter.

What you will do

• You will support our engineering work across the project pipeline, learning the business alongside experienced engineers while taking on real responsibility from the start. Your work will include:
• Supporting engineering design and technical reviews for solar, wind and BESS projects at every stage
• Preparing energy production estimates, site evaluations and technical due diligence
• Assisting with interconnection applications and coordination with utilities and grid operators
• Reviewing technical submittals from EPC contractors, consultants and equipment vendors
• Supporting construction and commissioning activities, with travel to project sites
• Analyzing operating data from our fleet and identifying performance improvements
• Contributing to the tools, templates and standards our engineering team runs on

What we are looking for

• A bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, civil or environmental engineering, or a related field
• A demonstrated interest in renewable energy and the clean energy transition
• Strong analytical ability and comfort working with data and spreadsheets
• Clear written and verbal communication, with the ability to make technical topics simple
• Initiative and curiosity: you take ownership, ask good questions and learn fast
• Authorization to work in the United States
• Internship, co-op or project experience in energy is a plus but not required. We hire for aptitude and attitude, and we invest in developing our engineers.
