Renewable Careers Limited in Naperville, IL is seeking an entry-level analyst to join our clean energy team, supporting decisions across development, finance and operations. You will build models for project economics, energy production and market analysis, and contribute to strategic insights.

The role offers hands-on learning, exposure to interconnection and permitting processes, plus mentorship from experienced analysts and managers as you grow in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, engineering, environmental science, data analytics or a related field
• Demonstrated interest in renewable energy and the clean energy transition
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel; Python/SQL or data visualization experience is a plus
• Attention to detail and ability to turn analysis into insight
• Authorization to work in the United States

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain models for project economics, energy production and market analysis
• Research markets, policies, technologies and competitors to support strategic decisions
• Support due diligence on new projects and acquisitions using data from across the business
• Analyze performance data from the operating fleet and report trends
• Prepare reports, dashboards and presentations for project teams and senior leadership
• Assist development team with data for interconnection applications, permitting and site selection
• Improve spreadsheets, tools and datasets used across the company

Salary: $80,000 - $100,000, depending on experience

We are a clean energy company that develops, builds, owns and operates renewable projects across the United States, with a portfolio spanning utility-scale solar, wind and battery energy storage (BESS). From our Naperville office in the Chicago metro, our team supports projects across Illinois and the wider Midwest, one of the country's most active regions for new wind and solar. We are looking for an entry-level analyst to help power that growth.

What you will do

You will work at the analytical heart of the business, supporting decisions across development, finance and operations. Expect variety, real responsibility and plenty of learning. Your work will include:

• Building and maintaining models for project economics, energy production and market analysis
• Conducting research on markets, policies, technologies and competitors to support strategic decisions
• Supporting due diligence on new projects and acquisitions, working with data from every corner of the business
• Analyzing performance data from our operating fleet and reporting on trends and improvements
• Preparing clear reports, dashboards and presentations for project teams and senior leadership
• Supporting the development team with data for interconnection applications, permitting and site selection
• Improving the spreadsheets, tools and datasets the whole company relies on

What we are looking for

• A bachelor's degree in finance, economics, engineering, environmental science, data analytics or a related field
• A demonstrated interest in renewable energy and the clean energy transition
• Strong analytical skills and real comfort in Excel; experience with Python, SQL or data visualization tools is a plus
• Attention to detail and the discipline to get the numbers right
• Clear written and verbal communication, with the ability to turn analysis into insight
• Initiative and curiosity: you take ownership, ask good questions and learn quickly
• Authorization to work in the United States
• Internship or project experience in energy, finance or data analysis is a plus but not required. We hire
