Job summary

Mindlance is seeking an electrical engineering professional for a 12-month contract in the energy/utilities sector. The role requires reviewing design packages, overseeing Engineer of Record (EOR), and delivering QA/QC excellence from development through construction and commissioning.

The ideal candidate will have utility-scale project experience (BESS, solar, substations, transmission or generation) and strong knowledge of power systems, protection and controls, SCADA/EMS, and MV/HV

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering preferred.
• Utility-scale project experience: BESS, Solar, Substations, Transmission, or Generation.
• Experience reviewing engineering/design packages and overseeing the Engineer of Record (EOR).
• Strong QA/QC experience.

Responsibilities

• Experience managing projects from development through construction and commissioning.
• Ability to lead discussions with EPCs, OEMs, consultants, utilities, and internal teams.

Must Have

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering preferred.
• Utility-scale project experience: BESS, Solar, Substations, Transmission, or Generation.
• Experience reviewing engineering/design packages and overseeing the Engineer of Record (EOR).
• Strong QA/QC experience.

Strong knowledge of:

• Power Systems & Interconnection/POI
• Protection & Controls
• SCADA/EMS
• MV/HV Electrical Infrastructure
• Experience managing projects from development through construction and commissioning.
• Ability to lead discussions with EPCs, OEMs, consultants, utilities, and internal teams.

Nice to Have

• Direct BESS experience.
• Knowledge of NFPA 855, UL 9540A, IEEE, and NEC.
• Renewable energy experience.

Not Required

• P.E. License
• Pure consulting experience without project execution
