Farnsworth Group, Inc. in Colorado is seeking a Renewable Energy Civil Engineer to join our team.

You will work with experienced engineers on solar, battery storage (BESS), and wind projects, handling site layout, grading, drainage, and modeling from due diligence through final design and construction. This role offers potential to serve as Project Manager, collaborate across disciplines, and contribute to projects from conception to record drawings while progressing in a culture that values

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Civil Engineering from ABET accredited institution.
• 5–10 years of civil engineering experience.
• 2+ years in solar, BESS, wind or similar renewable energy projects preferred.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) certification.
• Professional Engineer (PE) registration.
• AutoCAD and Civil 3D experience required.
• Design experience on wind, solar and/or BESS projects preferred.
• Ability and willingness to manage and contribute to several projects concurrently.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• MS Office proficiency (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project).
• Ability to travel and have a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Provide civil engineering technical support and design for the development of renewable energy projects (conceptual through final design and construction), as part of an engineering team
• Prepare, develop, and review civil engineering design and construction plans and related documents
• Provide project management working directly with the Client’s project manager
• Manage, support, and build relationships with clients and agencies
• Conduct project field observation and condition assessments
• Prepare project proposals
• Collaborate with other Farnsworth Group disciplines and consultants
• Communicate with clients regarding current and future projects
