Role Description

The Renewable Director of Development is a full-time, hybrid role based in Schaumburg, IL. This role leads development of renewable energy projects, including due diligence activities, design, permitting, stakeholder consultation, contracting, procurement, real estate and requirements for financial close. The Director will manage and undertake all phases of development with the support of team members and 3rd party suppliers.

Qualifications

• Candidates should have a technical background and have experience in undertaking as well as managing all activities related to project development. Ability to manage multiple phases of work as part of project development activities > 10yrs of experience in energy, engineering and renewable project development.
• Candidates will enjoy working across disciplines in a collaborative environment with various subject matter experts.
• Candidates' development expertise will include advanced project management skills across various phases of work.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects/phases/scopes simultaneously.
