Job summary

NextEra Energy, Inc. invites energetic students to join our Summer Intern program in Development and Origination. You will work with Renewable Development teams, analyze market data, and support project research and materials preparation.

Qualifications

• Active enrollment in a bachelor’s degree or higher degree program
• GPA of 3.0 or higher required
• Minimum 10-week internship starting no later than June 1

Responsibilities

• Assist Renewable Development teams with assigned projects, analyses, and business initiatives
• Analyze market, project, operational, financial, and other data to support development decisions
• Support evaluation of potential renewable energy opportunities and projects
• Assist with project research, site analysis, market assessments, and development activities
• Prepare project materials, presentations, reports, and business analyses
• Organize and evaluate information related to project timelines, costs, opportunities, risks, and assumptions
• Collaborate with Development, Engineering, Finance, Legal, Operations and other partners
• Research renewable energy markets, regulations, technologies, and industry trends
• Identify opportunities to improve development processes, analyses, tools, or reporting
• Contribute to meaningful projects supporting growth of renewable energy
• Develop analytical, business, communication and problem-solving skills
• Present project work, findings and recommendations to team and leadership
• Take ownership of assigned work and actively learn and contribute
