Customized Energy Solutions in Philadelphia is seeking a Renewable Compliance Analyst to support its Renewable Energy Services and Compliance Team, focusing on tracking regulatory and compliance changes and managing Client Renewable Energy Credits (RECs).

The successful candidate will be highly proficient in Excel, able to handle complex data sets, interact with clients and regulatory authorities, and manage multiple projects with integrity and initiative.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years relevant work experience.
  • Energy industry background preferred with compliance/RPS/REC exposure.

Responsibilities

  • Track REC markets and RPS regulatory changes.
  • Monitor regulatory proceedings and identify relevant developments for the team/clients.
  • Maintain complex data sets, models, and information tracking systems.

Customized Energy Solutions is seeking a Renewable Compliance Analyst to provide support on its Renewable Energy Services and Compliance Team, performing a variety of analytical, research based and operational functions. The position will focus on the tracking of regulatory and compliance changes and the management of Client Renewable Energy Credits (RECs). The successful candidate will be a high energy self-starter, a positive proactive team player, highly proficient in Excel and data analysis, and possess excellent communication skills and initiative. The position will require direct interaction with Clients and regulatory authorities. Must be able to work independently and as part of a team. Being detail oriented and a person of integrity are essential qualities, as is an ability to handle new tasks and manage multiple projects and competing priorities.

Representative Duties
  • Track Renewable Energy Credit (REC) markets and Renewable Portfolio Standard (RPS) regulatory changes.
  • Monitor state and utility regulatory proceedings to identify relevant developments/rule changes and provide relevant actionable items to business team and/or clients.
  • Maintenance and management of complex data sets, models, and information tracking systems for additional data and tracking systems as needed.
  • Maintain and manage the processes for tracking required RTO, state, and utility compliance filings for retail suppliers, including the maintenance of a comprehensive accounting of requirements, data collection and timely notification system.
  • Manage ongoing renewable generation and retail energy compliance REC portfolios using CES’ proprietary platform.
  • Support the process to prepare and submit registrations and ongoing federal, ISO, state and utility reports.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, counterparties, and regulatory authorities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned/needed.
  • Relevant undergraduate degree required.
  • 2+ years relevant work experience.
  • Energy industry background preferred with experience in Compliance or RPS obligations and REC markets, particularly PJM and ISO-NE.
  • Excellent analytic processing skills.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work well in a deadline-driven, self-managed environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability to think “outside the box” by developing and implementing improvements to processes and tools.
