Job summary

Mountaine Farms is seeking an entry level rendering operator to perform routine operations and work toward certification in one of five areas (Load Out, Receiving, Utility, Feather/Blood, Meat). The role involves operating equipment for animal protein production, monitoring cooking processes, and performing QA sampling.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, up to 2 years of related experience, the ability to lift 60 lbs, and the certifications to operate forklift and/or skid steer

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 0-2 years’ experience in a related field.
• Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Must possess the appropriate certification to operate a forklift and/or skid steer loaders.
• Must be able to demonstrate a strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of safety policies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment involved in the production of animal proteins and fat.
• Monitor and oversee the cooking process, collection of samples and testing of product to ensure Quality Assurance specifications are met.
• Monitor environmental equipment to ensure compliance and operate a forklift and skid steer loaders.
• Follow all company safety policies and SOP regulations, supporting the Goal Zero mission statement.
