Job summary

Gibbon Packing, LLC is an American Foods Group Company located in Gibbon, NE. We are hiring General Production - Rendering at our Gibbon plant. You will assist in daily logs, inspect equipment, assemble rendering gear, and monitor processes to ensure safe, efficient operation.

You will participate in training on Safety, SQF, GMPs, HACCP, SOPs and Food defense, and contribute to a team committed to quality and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• US work authorization without sponsorship.
• Ability to work in varied temperatures and around moving equipment with PPE.
• Ability to work extended hours Monday through Saturday with overtime.
• Must be able to complete training: Safety, SQF, GMPs, HACCP, SOPs, Food defense.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintenance of daily logs and report unsafe conditions.
• Complete inspection of equipment to ensure sanitation before rendering.
• Assemble rendering equipment including expellers, grinders, pumps, pipes, blades, cooking tanks.
• Test equipment to determine proper functioning.
• Open valves and start pumps and conveyors to move materials through rendering process.
• Monitor temperature gauges and flow rates; adjust as needed.
• Dump guts, bones and other inedible parts into storage containers for cooking tanks.
• Notify leadership if equipment malfunctions.
• Note: duties may include other related tasks as needed.
