Job summary

HCA Florida North Florida Hospital is seeking a Patient Care Technician (Renal) to join our nursing team in Gainesville, FL. You will assist Registered Nurses with vitals, mobility, and personal care, helping create a safe and welcoming environment for patients and supporting care plans.

You will collaborate with the care team, communicate with patients and families, and help maintain infection control and safety through proper supplies and equipment handling.

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

Responsibilities

• Assisting with patient preparation, mobility, transfers, and comfort to support smooth care and recovery
• Providing non-medicated care such as dressing changes, skin protection, and use of supportive devices
• Keeping patient areas and common spaces clean, organized, and stocked to maintain safety and efficiency
• Managing supplies, equipment, and logs to support infection control and team readiness
• Communicating kindly with patients, families, and the care team to support safety and quality
