Job summary

A leading research university in Baltimore invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position in nephropathology. The ideal candidate will hold an MD or MD/PhD and have expertise in the diagnostic interpretation of kidney biopsies. This role includes significant involvement in collaborative research and offers a supportive environment for scholarly work. Responsibilities include diagnostic activities and opportunities for clinical engagement. Candidates must be Board certified/eligible and eligible for a Maryland medical license. Qualifications

  • Formal training and/or experience in nephropathology.
  • Desirable expertise in urologic/autopsy pathology.
  • Demonstrated scholarly accomplishment preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret native and transplant kidney biopsies.
  • Engage in collaborative clinical and basic science investigation.
  • Manage and lead diagnostic nephropathology activities.

Skills

Diagnostic interpretation of native kidney biopsies
Experience with transplant kidney biopsies
Clinical expertise in cardiovascular/urologic/autopsy pathology

Education

MD or MD/PhD degree
Board certified/eligible in Anatomic and/or Clinical Pathology
