Job summary

Northeast Georgia Health System is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse for the GI/Renal Unit. The 39-bed medical/surgical unit specializes in renal and gastroenterological illnesses and provides Peritoneal Dialysis when clinically appropriate.

The role emphasizes safe, evidence-based nursing and collaboration with the interdisciplinary team. You will assess patients, administer medications, document nursing care, assist with discharge planning, and participate in quality and safety

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice as an RN in Georgia.
• Associates Degree in Nursing.
• One year of professional RN experience.
• New graduates referred to RN Residency Program.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates basic assessment skills.
• Documents nursing process using EMR and follows DNV standards.
• Coordinates discharge planning and collaborates to ensure patient safety.
• Maintains patient safety and quality standards; contributes to PI activities.
• Provides patient and family education and supports learning needs.
