Job summary

Berkshire Medical Center's Renal Dialysis unit is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide holistic care for End Stage Renal Dialysis patients. The nephrology nurse will lead the care team and coordinate assessment, planning and evaluation.

This is a full-time role with variable shifts (6:00am-6:30pm, 7:00am-7:30pm, 7:30am-8:00pm) on a rotating schedule; on-call rotation is required. Comprehensive benefits include health/dental insurance, life and disability coverage, retirement plan contributions,

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
Massachusetts RN license required; BLS preferred.
Current experience in nephrology nursing/dialysis preferred.
At least one year experience in critical care nursing preferred.
Two year medical/surgical nursing or dialysis experience required.

Responsibilities

Nephrology nurse provides holistic care for End Stage Renal Dialysis patients and leads the health care team.
Collect, assess, document, and analyze patient information before and after dialysis.
Identify learning needs, plan teaching, and document patient understanding with family involvement.
