Job summary

California State University, San Bernardino is seeking a Renaissance Scholars Program Coordinator within Educational Opportunity Program. The role guides admissions, onboarding, mentoring, and academic support for current and former foster youth, coordinating campus and community resources to promote persistence and degree completion.

The position oversees program development, funding coordination, and reporting while engaging with campus committees and external partners to advance student

Qualifications

• Three years of progressively responsible professional student services work experience.
• Master’s degree may substitute for one year of experience.
• Bachelor’s degree plus related coursework in counseling or student services is preferred.
• Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the EOP Renaissance Scholars Program and supplemental services for current and former foster youth by assessing needs and coordinating resources.
• Administer Renaissance Scholars recruitment, admissions, and cohort-selection processes and guide applicants through transition requirements.
• Develop and coordinate Renaissance Scholars programming including seminars, mentoring, workshops, and enrichment activities.
• Manage the Renaissance Scholars Mentoring Program and coordinate graduate-level internship experiences.
• Identify funding opportunities, develop grant proposals, and monitor program budgets and deliverables.
• Evaluate program activities and prepare reports to inform leadership and future planning.
