Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in film editing or a related field is required.
• Proficiency in video and audio editing software and programs (Photoshop, After Effects, Premiere).
• Ability to multitask and work toward multiple milestones across projects.
• Creative experience in filmmaking and videography.
• Ability to understand client outcomes and bring them to life.
• Experience editing various video projects with sound effects, music, and transitions.
• Proficient in creating concept boards and visual representations of planned edits.

• Ability to collaborate with other creatives to deliver top-notch final products.

Responsibilities

• Create assets and transitions in Photoshop or Illustrator.
• Photo-manipulation for on-screen assets in Photoshop.
• Light After Effects or Premiere animations of assets.
• Apply layered effects and simple masks.
• Basic rotoscoping when needed.
• Gather and transfer media into editing software and ensure correct formats.
• Operate editing systems and equipment for video and effects.
• Understand storyline and purpose of the video.
• Draft an initial storyboard to present for approval.
• Improve video and sound quality using video software.
• Edit video to include music, interviews and sound clips.
• Ensure final videos meet specified formatting and presentation requirements.
