Job summary

Sedgwick in Marlton, NJ is looking for a Workers’ Compensation Claims Examiner to analyze Lost-Time claims for clients and determine benefits owed while meeting service expectations and client requirements. The role supports a hybrid office schedule and requires Florida licensing; jurisdiction knowledge includes MD and VA.

Applicants should have a High School Diploma or GED (Bachelor's preferred) and at least 5 years of claims management experience, with professional certification as applicable

Qualifications

• Education & Licensing: High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred; professional certification as applicable to line of business preferred.
• Experience: 5 years of claims management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Jurisdiction Knowledge: FL, DE, MD, VA; Licensing: FL Required.

Responsibilities

• Analyzing and processing claims through action plans to timely resolution by investigating and gathering information.
• Negotiating settlement of claims within designated authority.
• Communicating claim activity and processing with the claimant and the client.
• Reporting claims to the excess carrier and responding to directions from clients.
