Job summary

Jobot partners with a national defense litigation firm in New Jersey to hire a Workers' Compensation Defense Attorney. Hybrid flexibility and a clear billable-hour goal are offered.

You will defend workers' compensation claims, conduct legal research and writing, draft pleadings, and represent clients at depositions, hearings, and trials. NJ bar admission and a JD are required, with at least 1 year of experience, and a demonstrated ability to handle complex workers' compensation matters.

Qualifications

JD required from accredited law school.
Licensed to practice in NJ in good standing.
Minimum 1 year of workers' compensation defense experience.
Experience in legal research, writing, depositions, and trial.
Strong knowledge of workers' compensation laws and regulations.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and advocacy skills.

Responsibilities

Defend workers' compensation claims, including medical, disability, death, and rehabilitation.
Conduct legal research and analysis to support decisions and advice.
Draft, review, and revise pleadings, motions, briefs, reports, and correspondence.
Represent clients in pre-trial and trial matters, depositions, mediations, and hearings.
