Sedgwick is hiring for a Lost-Time Workers Compensation claims examiner with NY jurisdiction experience. The role analyzes complex Lost-Time Workers Compensation claims, adjudicates benefits, and collaborates with clients. Hybrid work is available if within commuting distance to Syracuse, NY; remote option otherwise.

Licensing in NY is required, with strong subrogation and claims management background. Ideal candidates will have 5+ years in claims management, NY licensing, and a BA preferred.

Qualifications

• 5 years of claims management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
• High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Professional certification as applicable to line of business preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyzing and processing claims to determine exposure and resolution.
• Negotiating settlements within designated authority.
• Communicating claim activity with claimants and clients.
• Reporting claims to the excess carrier and responding to directions promptly.
