Job summary

Sedgwick, a global leader in claims administration, is seeking a Lost-Time Workers’ Compensation Claims Examiner in the United States. You will analyze complex claims to determine benefits due, ensuring adjudication aligns with service expectations, best practices, and client requirements.

Responsibilities include investigating exposures, negotiating settlements, and maintaining clear communication with claimants and clients, while leveraging Sedgwick’s network and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Education & Licensing: High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor's degree preferred. Professional certification as applicable to line of business preferred.
• Experience: 3-5 years of claims management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
• Public Entity Workers Compensation preferred

Responsibilities

• Analyzing and processing claims through action plans to a timely resolution by investigating and gathering information to determine exposure.
• Negotiating settlement of claims within designated authority.
• Communicating claim activity with the claimant and the client.
• Reporting claims to the excess carrier and responding to directions in a professional and timely manner
