Job summary

Sedgwick is seeking a Workers' Compensation Claims Examiner in Reno, NV. This remote role requires eventual transition to a hybrid schedule with reporting to the Reno office, and licensing in CA or NV.

You will analyze complex workers' compensation claims and work with clients across industries to determine benefits and settlements. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in claims management, knowledge of applicable licensing, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 5 years of claims management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be licensed in California or Nevada.

Responsibilities

• Analyze workers' compensation claims to determine benefits due and adjudicate within service expectations.
• Negotiate settlement of claims within designated authority.
• Communicate claim activity to the claimant and client.
• Report claims to the excess carrier and respond to directions in a professional and timely manner.
