Job summary

Jobgether is seeking a Workday Payroll Consultant to guide clients through discovery, configuration, testing, and deployment of payroll solutions. You will act as a trusted advisor with strong payroll expertise and hands-on system knowledge, delivering scalable Workday configurations and ensuring successful implementations across client teams.

You will collaborate with data conversion and technical groups, mentor junior consultants, and identify enhancements that create lasting client value

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in Workday Payroll implementations or configurations.
• Workday Payroll certification is required.
• Experience gathering and translating requirements into payroll configurations.
• Experience in a consulting or professional services environment.
• Strong understanding of payroll operations, tax rules, deductions, and reporting.
• Experience with major payroll/HCM platforms such as Workday, ADP, UKG, Oracle, SAP, or Paychex is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead discovery sessions and requirements gathering for payroll processes.
• Translate business requirements into effective Workday Payroll configurations.
• Configure payroll solutions and provide functional guidance throughout the implementation lifecycle.
• Partner with data conversion teams to support migration and validation of legacy payroll information.
• Support end-to-end, parallel, and other testing activities to validate payroll configurations.
• Serve as a payroll SME, advising clients on configuration decisions and system functionality.
• Communicate project status, risks, issues, dependencies, and decisions clearly to stakeholders.
• Support client training and knowledge transfer for post‑go-live readiness.
• Mentor junior consultants and contribute to internal knowledge sharing.
• Identify opportunities for additional services and optimization initiatives.
