Job summary

TEKsystems has a short-term contract for a Workday Payroll Consultant to resolve critical Canadian payroll issues and support US payroll as needed. This hands-on role follows a recent Workday go-live, focusing on rapid configuration and issue resolution. Remote work is allowed anywhere in the U.S.

or Canada, with core hours 9:00–17:00 Mountain time. The engagement is ~1–2 months, potentially longer for ongoing Workday platform support.

Qualifications

• Extensive hands‑on workday payroll configuration experience.
• Strong knowledge of Canadian payroll configuration and statutory pay rules.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex payroll calculations and production issues.
• Experience configuring and stabilizing payroll after go-lives or major updates.
• Ability to work with stakeholders to identify gaps and implement solutions.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve critical Canadian payroll configuration issues.
• Correct payroll calculations currently done manually.
• Review configurations and identify missed business requirements.
• Configure and troubleshoot Canadian statutory pay calculations.
• Resolve skills‑based pay, PTO accruals, and related issues.
• Support US payroll configuration when needed.
• Document changes, decisions, and risks; define remaining scope.
